We are the animals of Help Fuerteventura. Each of us has a story, sometimes painful, often marked by abandonment, fear or incomprehension. Some still remember the long days of wandering, starving and seeking shelter under a car or against a cold wall. Others have experienced the pain of beatings or the indifference of those who once promised us a home.

We didn't understand. We didn't know what we had done wrong. But one day our paths crossed with those of generous people. We were lifted up, taken into loving arms and enveloped in a warmth that we had forgotten.

Here at Help Fuerteventura we have discovered a new life. A life where the bowls are always full, gentle hands caress us and soothing voices whisper to us that we are important. Some of us were suspicious and hesitant at first... Had we really found a safe place? But with time, patience and a lot of love, we realized that we were finally safe.

Every day we learn to trust again. We rediscover the joy of running without fear, of playing in the sun, of the smell of fresh grass and of laying our head on someone's lap without fear of being pushed away. We see our companions leaving one by one for new families. Sometimes we don't understand why we are still here, why no one has chosen us yet. But we remain hopeful. We know that somewhere a family is waiting for us.

We have learned that love is not always found immediately. It takes time, patience and perseverance. But we also know that it will all be worth it when the day comes when our eyes meet the person who will adopt us.

But we need you. Without you, without your help, we cannot continue to hope. Every adoption, every donation, every message shared can change our lives. Thanks to you, we have the chance for a happy ending, an ending that feels like a new beginning.

So thank you very much. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for giving us this second chance. Because with perseverance and love, giving up is never the end. This is just the beginning of a new story.
